SEED Grants Over $16,000 to Shorewood School District - June 10, 2009
The School District of Shorewood is excited to announce the receipt of over $16,000 in grants from the Supporters of Excellence in Educational Development (SEED) Foundation. Theses grants are in addition to the $45,000 grant to the general education fund for the 2009-2010 school year.

Shorewood Recreation Department Break-In - June 11, 2009
The Shorewood Recreation Department was broken into sometime between 7:00 pm and 7:30 am on the evening of June 10/11, 2009. Program registration forms with credit card information were in the office at that time. While we believe the information was not compromised, we want to take the precautionary step of alerting the public to assure that they monitor their credit card statements.

The Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction to Decrease Withholding
The Department of Public Instruction (DPI) has informed the District that it has substantially reduced its assessment of state aid to be withheld from the District because of the shortage of instructional hours at the Shorewood Intermediate School (SIS).
Progress Made on District Renovation and Maintenance Projects
Work on the Athletic Field is essentlally completed for this year. Renovation of theSHS Physical Education Building is underway. Plans are being developed for the renovation of the high school library which will take place next summer.
